Please forgive the rough looking submission. It's my first drawing on a large scale. It's 11"x14" Strathmore Sketch paper, and wouldn't fit in my scanner. So I had to take a picture of it, which is why it looks crooked. I am actually quite proud of this drawing. You see...it's my beautiful son. I found the time to finish up today. I had spent about a month shading here and there. My dear son likes to help. He's my love and my light...He's my reason I keep pushing daily. I started this one using a grid to get the proportions. I really enjoyed going by grid as opposed to free hand. Everything fit!!!
Materials: Strathmore Sketch pad 11x14 2h, HB, 2B mechanical pencil HB, 2b, 6b wooded graphite pencil 6b Charcoal pencil Satin Handkerchief, Blending stump, Tortillion, and toilet paper Kneaded Eraser & Plastic Square Eraser Lots of time and patience.
You should be very proud of this piece! I love the reflections in the eyes and the moistness of the lips! Little ones' eyes hold such wonder in them...you captured that beautifully!

For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
